NORMS FOR ISSUE OF IMPORT PERMITS FOR BIG BORE RIFLES

The import permits for big bore weapons fulfilling the following specifications will only be issued to the “Renowned Shooters”

BIG BORE:- 

1. The Rifle must have Match Trigger.
2. The Rifle must have minimum barrel length of 558mm (22") without extension piece.
3. The minimum Diameter of Barrel should be 17mm (0.65").
4. The Rifle must have adjustable target stock or Target system stock.
5. The Rifle must be single shot or have a adapter to dummy the magazine.
6. The caliber/bore must be as per ISSF Rules

No weapon, if not as per above specifications, will be allowed to be imported. In case an application from a qualified athlete for a weapon import does not fall within these parameters in toto, the application shall be rejected. Further, any administrative monetary charges deposited along with such an errant application shall be forfeited and no refund shall be made, as the processing of such an application would still have to be undertaken by the requisite staff".
