GST exempted on imports by Renowned Shooters

Under the guidance & sustained efforts of our fellow athlete, the Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) for Sports, Col R V S Rathore, assisted by the Senior Vice President NRAI Sh. Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo (MP), a representation to the Ministry of Finance by the Ministry of Sports for the removal of GST on imports by Renowned shooters has borne fruit and Renowned shooters are now exempted from Payment of GST on their imports.

The President NRAI, Raninder Singh expresses his sincere thanks to the Honorable Minister of Sports Col.RVS.Rathore & Sh. Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo (MP) Senior Vice President of the NRAI, for having ensured that this goal was achieved.

The NRAI also expresses its thanks to all those concerned officials & athletes who supported this cause due to the collective strength of which this exemption has been realized.

The NRAI believes that this is a very positive development that shall help and further nurture the shooting sport in India.

Finally, NRAI also takes this opportunity to thank the Ministry of Finance & the GST Council of India in arriving at this fair, just, & progressive decision.
