Everything is set in New Delhi for the 2017 ISSF World Cup Series opening competition

The 2017 shooting sport season will officially start on Thursday, when the opening ceremony will take place at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi (IND): more than 450 athletes are expected to compete.

The wait is over: the 2017 ISSF World Cup Series will open the year of shooting sport this Wednesday in New Delhi (IND), where the ISSF World Cup Stage 1 is scheduled to take place from February 22nd to March 4th.
 
It will be the first ISSF World Cup stage in fourteen years, as the three previous ones took place in 1997, 2000 and 2003. Last year, however, the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range hosted the Asia Olympic Qualifying Competition for Shooting in January and February.
 
452 athletes will travel to the Indian capital city for the competition, representing 50 National Olympic Committees and piling up 584 starts.
 
The first World Cup medals of the season will be delivered in the women’s 10m Air Rifle event, taking place on Friday 24th. Here’s the complete schedule of the 15 final events:
 
Friday, February 24th:
10m Air Rifle Women at 11:00 am (UTC+5:30)
10m Air Rifle Men at 1:00 pm
Trap Women at 3:30 pm
 
Saturday, February 25th:
25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men at 1:00 pm
Trap Men at 3:30 pm
 
Sunday, February 26th:
10m Air Pistol Women at 11:00 am
50m Rifle 3 Positions Men 1:00 pm
 
Monday, February 27th:
50m Rifle 3 Positions Women at 1:00 pm
Double Trap Men at 3:30 pm
 
Tuesday, February 28th:
10m Air Pistol Men at 11:30 am
50m Rifle Prone Men at 1:30 pm
 
Wednesday, March 1st:
25m Pistol Women at 11:00 am
50m Pistol Men at 1:00 pm
Skeet Women at 3:30 pm
 
Thursday, March 2nd:
Skeet Men at 2:30 PM
 
Most of the aforementioned events will be streamed live on three different platforms: the ISSF website, on the Federation’s Livestream channel and on its Facebook page.

After New Delhi (IND), the ISSF World Cup Series will travel to Acapulco (MEX), where the second act of the season is scheduled from March 17th to March 27th, while the other three stages of the Series will take place in Larnaka (CYP), Munich (GER) and Gabala (AZE).
