Pankaj Yadav of the Border Security Force Wins Junior Men’s 25m Pistol Gold at 60th National Shooting Championship


New Delhi, Dec 23, 2016: Pankaj Yadav of the Border Security Force (BSF) struck Gold at the Junior Men’s 25m Sports Pistol event at the 60th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC), being held at Pune’s Balewadi Sports Complex. Pankaj shot 581 to finish comfortable atop the table with Punjab’s Anhad Jawanda claiming Silver with a score of 578. Anish of Haryana won the Bronze shooting a total of 577.

Anish’s second medal of the day though was a Gold, when he helped Haryana to win the Team section of the event, combining with Aadeithyaa Joahal and Adarsh Singh for a combined winning total of 1700. Uttarakhand won the Silver and Punjab won the Bronze in the event.

Anish’s second Gold of the day came in the Junior Men’s 25m Civilian championship. He shot 577 to leave Gujarat’s Rushiraj Barot (Silver- 571) and Haryana’s Ankit Yadav (Bronze- 568) in his tracks.
