ISSF Junior World Cup: Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun – Day 4


Team Bronze for India on Day four
Suhl, 4th May 2016: The fourth day of the ISSF Junior World Cup being played at Suhl, Germany from 1st – 6thMay 2016 gave India a team bronze medal in 25M Pistol Women Junior event. Despite this medal there is no change in the place of India in the medal’s tally and they are still placed at number three with three Gold, four Silver and three Bronze medals making it a total of 10 medals.

The Indian women’s team of Sanjana Sehrawat, Chinki Yadav and Gauri Sheoran shot a total of 1695 to walk away with the Bronze Medal. Russian Federation with a total of 1708 walked away with the Gold Medal while the Germany had to settle for the Bronze Medal shooting a total of 1698. In other team events, India was not lucky enough to grab the medal. The Indian teams in the 50M Rifle 3 Positions event for men, Skeet Women Junior and Trap Women Junior event were unfortunate to not have a podium finish.

Italy tops the medal tally with six Gold Medals, two Silver and one Bronze medal whereas Russian Federation is at number two with four Gold medals, six Silver and seven Bronze medals.
